Richmond loyalty card winners announced

The winners of the Richmond Loyalty Card Promotion have been announced.

The event ran ran throughout November with Original Richmond Business and Tourism Association (ORBTA) members handing out cards and stamps to their customers.

Ten prizes were on offer including £100 in vouchers to be spent at member businesses.

The lucky winner was Linda Turnbull, who has until the end of January to spend her vouchers.

Dee King was the lucky recipient of £50 of vouchers for Kiss the Moon, who are based at Aske Stables.

A smart leather satchel given by Berber Leather was won by Belinda Stares; Jen Capewell won a pair of Swarovski and Silver earrings from Goosewing Gallery, and Nina Cline was the recipient of a set of recycled candles from King Street Kitchen and Gift.

Vouchers for the Green Howards Museum and the Little Dress Shop were won respectively by Heather Wailes and Jill Russell, while Nick Reckert and Helen Buist will each be enjoying tea for two at Granny’s Kitchen and Sip Coffee. Richmond Brewing Company gave a £25 goody bag, which Amy Gedye is due to collect.

The promotion has become a regular autumn event in Richmond, with the number of entrants building each year.

Chairman of the Association, Marcia McLuckie said: “The Loyalty Card is a great way of promoting our local businesses and it is an opportunity to give something back to our shoppers.

We are very pleased with the response the loyalty card has received. In Richmond we have a good mix of local, independent retailers that draws people to the town as well as serving local people.”

Marcia continued: “The Town Council has recently produced a video showcasing businesses in Richmond. This is available to view on YouTube and business-people are encouraged to add a link to the video to their own websites.”
