York Magistrates' Court.

A Richmond man is to be sentenced for a string of child sex offences after he admitted eight separate charges.

David Macey, 62, appeared at York Magistrates’ Court yesterday when he pleaded guilty to a series of offences including attempted sexual communication with a child and attempting to cause a child to watch an image of sexual activity.

Macey, of Frances Road, admitted five counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child under 16 years of age.

Those offences occurred over a two-year period between July 2018 and the summer of 2020.

He also admitted three counts of attempting to cause a child under 16 to look at an image of sexual activity.

Those offences occurred between July 2018 and April 2020.
