The top of the table clash saw Richmond Mavericks win a tight game against rivals Unicorn to remain top of the table on Saturday.
Two first-half goals from James Kelly — including a 38-minute penalty — were enough to secure all three points.
Liam Reeves pulled a goal back for the Newbiggin pub team but Mavs held on.
Richmond Town Reserves also suffered a blow to their title challenge with a 2-1 loss at home to Spennithorne.
Scott Ryan and Lee Davison netted for Spenni, while Tom Gilroy scored for Town.
The Wensleydale team hung on, despite Town shuffling the pack in the second half with five substitutes coming on.
Catterick Garrison denied Reeth their first points of the season.
A third goal from Michael Ellis levelled the score with 20 minutes to go after two goals from Damian Hargreaves and one from Tim Holland had given Catterick the lead.
But Michael Chape scored five minutes later to ensure the three points went back to the garrison.
The remaining schedule game between Hawes and Carperby was postponed.
