Richmond’s mayor has handed over money raised during her term in office.
Cllr Lorraine Hodgson chose Just The Job as her chosen charity for the year.
Despite her fundraising efforts being curtailed because of the pandemic, she handed over a cheque to general manager Steve Biggs for £230.
Cllr Hodgson said most of the money came from a donation from Richmond Camera Club from the sale of a book put together by members.
The money will go towards the charity’s fundraising for a new headquarters.
Just the Job has been granted planning permission for new premises near its existing base on the Gallowfields Trading Estate.
The charity, which works with adult with disabilities to achieve their potential by doing work in the community, must now raise the money to pay for the building.
