Richmond misses out on gold at Yorkshire in Bloom but town organisations scoop 14 gold and silver awards

Richmond has missed out on a coveted gold award at the Yorkshire in Bloom awards, but businesses, charities and community organisations scooped an impressive haul of 14 awards in total.

The winners were announced yesterday at an event at York Racecourse.

The Original Richmond in Bloom entry, spearheaded by the Richmond Business and Tourism Association, again received a silver gilt award as it had last year.

But there were four golds handed out to businesses and organisations in the town.
