Richmond Operatic Society is looking to cast roles for its new production, The Addams Family.
The musical comedy will be staged at the Georgian Theatre Royal from November 17 to 20.
Richmond Operatic Society are entering their 99th year of producing musical theatre for local audiences.
The group has endured a difficult 18 months which saw one show cancelled and two postponed.
However, the society is now preparing to start rehearsals and are looking for new members aged over 16 to join the group in their newly refurbished rehearsal hall on Bargate, Richmond, from July 20.
Director Gary Winn said: “I saw the Addams Family a few years ago on Broadway when it was first performed starring Brooke Shields as Morticia.
“I did not imagine at the time that I would be directing the same show one day.
“It is a fabulous, unique and a bit of a macabre show with all the original characters, full of great songs and bucket loads of humour.”
He added: “After this long, frustrating period of darkness ,myself and the rest of the society cannot wait to get started.
“We will be the only small company performing this show in the North of England, as it is currently touring nationally.
“I am very excited at the prospect of putting together the show but equally excited about being able to meet up with friends again in our newly refurbished Operatic Hall to start rehearsals, singing, dancing, auditions, costume design, prop making and building the set.
“There is just so much we have all missed.”
Richmond Operatic Society are looking to cast all roles within this production, as well as chorus parts.
