The school came second.

Deputy head Lucy Hodges said: “We are all so thrilled to have been awarded £2,000 from Tesco’s Bags of Help.

“One of our outdoor areas is in need of renovation and we are planning to install a track for the children.

“They will be able to use a variety of vehicles, such as bikes, trikes and scooters, to develop their gross motor skills but also to hone important skills such as turn taking and sharing.

“Thank you so much to Tesco for helping us to fund this exciting project.

The cheque was presented by Tesco community champion Amanda Smith and Jade Adamson, trade manager.
