Richmond rower Zoë Lee has returned from the 2019 European Rowing Championships with a silver medal.
Zoe was part of the women’s eight boat which finished six hundredths of a second behind Romania who won gold.
Speaking after the race at the championships in Switzerland, teammate Holly Norton said: “We would have liked to have the cherry on top [with a gold], but as a team of athletes and coaches we’re building lots of momentum which is really powerful this early on in the season.”
Following a year sculling in the GB women’s quad, Zoë has moved back into the women’s eight, the boat in which she won silver at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
