Richmond runners complete Rob Burrows Leeds Marathon

Ten members of Richmond running group Team Caterpillar took on the Rob Burrows Leeds Marathon at the weekend to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The group was running in support of member Molly Maddison, whose dad Greg suffers with the disease .

She has raised more than £11,000 for the charity with the help of the group.

John Holliday, from the running group, said: “The marathon itself was incredibly tough with temperatures hitting 20c and a very hilly route.

“But the effort itself is nothing compared to what sufferers of this cruel disease are going through.

“Everyone completed the marathon which itself was a huge feet as for many of them it was their first, and for some of them their last, attempt at this distance!”
