A Richmond signwriter is using his talents to support the NHS by producing car bumper stickers and banners.
Steve Smith, from Eyecatching Signs, said started working on a thank you banner design last week.
“My mum was a nurse and my sister-in-law is working tirelessly at James Cook Hospital so I thought I would do a quick sketch to show my appreciation for the NHS.”
Steve used the design to make a banner which was displayed on railings in Richmond.
“This went down well and I was then asked to put one up at Camp Centre.
“After a week of positive comments, Veronica, from Star Cars, approached me to ask if we could make the design into car stickers.
“She too has been doing her bit for the area and said she would pay, plus a bit extra to go towards the NHS.
“I thought this was a great idea and ran with it.”
So far more than 100 stickers – which cost £3 each – have been sold.
A percentage from every sticker sold will go the NHS.
“I am also in the process of making a ‘key worker’ sticker as I have been asked for a few variations — while I am quiet I figured I may as well do my bit,” Steve added.
