A Richmond youngster has taken inspiration from Captain Tom Moore — who has raised more than £7m for the NHS — and launched her own fundraising challenge.

Six-year-old Mila Jordan decided to act after watch a programme about the Army veteran, who initially aimed to raise £1,000 by completing 100 laps of his Bedfordshire garden.

Mila said: “I saw Captain Tom Moore on the TV this morning and he inspired me to do something too.

“I have set up an obstacle course in my garden and I aim to do 100 laps of it before the end of the day and hope to reach my £100 target.

“Please help me and donate whatever you can.”

The money will go to NHS Charities Together.

Mum Kersty has set up a JustGiving page for her daughter.
