Richmond Town Christmas Market to be ‘best yet’

Stalls at a previous Christmas Market.

This year’s Richmond Town Christmas Market will be the best yet, says committee chairman Dennis Graves.

The third Christmas market held by the town will take place on the first Sunday in December.

There will be a wide variety of local food, drink, craft and gift stalls on the cobbles as well as an indoor market of stalls in the Green Howards Museum.

Chic Vintique will also hosting a selection of boutique stalls inside the Town Hall.

The indoor market hall and many local shops, pubs and cafes will also open for the day to take part in the celebrations.

There will also be a host of entertainment on the stage which will showcase the best of local talent from dancers and singers to brass bands, military bands and the WAGS choir.

With street performances and traditional fairground rides there will be plenty to keep the family entertained between acts.

Chairing the committee of volunteers this year, Dennis Graves, from Mocha Chocolate Shop, said: “This year we have worked hard to bring Christmas to Richmond for all the family with entertainment, festive food and drinks and stalls to browse for your unique gifts from Richmond.”

The Richmond Christmas Market will take place between 10am and 4pm on December 3.

The event is free to all, with plenty of fun and entertainment for adults and children alike.

Further information including the Richmond School Park and Ride, parking information and a map of the market will be available through leaflets distributed in the November edition of Richmondshire Today or on the Christmas Market website and Facebook Page.
