Richmond Town FC’s Under 14s girls team is looking for new players ahead of its second season.
Coach Kelly Morris said the first season, had been a huge success with the team finishing sixth in the North East Girls League.
The girls were an under 13 team but played in an under 14 league and travelled far and wide over the North Yorkshire and Teesside area to play games.
Kelly said: “Playing 11 aside football for some, for the time ever, in all kinds of weather has been a challenge.
“We have been proudly wearing the sponsored kit from Hunton and Gargate Solicitors, which has been gratefully received.
“Finishing the league in sixth position has given the girls some great drive ahead of our second season which is fast approaching.
“We would now like to expand our team and are looking for new additions.
“If there are any players wanting to come give it ago, then please get in touch. All abilities welcome.”
The team is currently at the beginning of their pre-season training at their ground at Brompton-on-Swale community pitches.
The team trains from 6pm to 7.30pm on Fridays.
“If any businesses would like to sponsor the girls, as they now move to the under 14 age group, it would be a massive benefit,” Kelly added.
