Richmond Town Ladies have made a strong start to the season under their new head coach.

Garry Lawton has been appointed to the role following the departure of previous head coach Pete Wheeler, who has joined York FC Academy.

Garry was previously the assistant coach at the club.

Richmond Town, which launched a ladies squad 18 months ago, runs two teams. which paly their home games at Earls Orchard.

The first team is currently top of the North Riding Ladies League having won their first five matches of the season.

The club also runs a ladies development team which plays in the Durham Ladies Development Division.

Garry said the club was always looking for new players of all abilities.

The club has FA qualified coaches and train twice a week.
