Richmond Town over 40s have begun the season in style thanks to a new kit and a win.
The veterans, who are sponsored this year by Durham Blinds and Perspective Blinds, won 2-1 against Hartlepool Jackson Arms, courtesy of two goals from Mike Dale.
The team players in the second division of the Sunderland & District Veterans League.
They go into the season targeting promotion back to the division they were relegated from two years ago.
Many of the team have played for Richmond throughout their playing careers, including at junior level.
Keeper Andrew Scullion is starting his 31st season of local football and claims he once saved a penalty at Old Trafford!
