Richmond crashed to defeat on Saturday at Farringdon Detached after a second half to forget.

Town had taken the lead moments before the break when James Coatsworth, from the edge of the box curled his shot brilliantly into the top corner. As the second half got underway Jimmy Muir had a shot from the edge of the box but things were to go downhill from there.

Farringdon levelled the score with fifty six minutes played after Charlie Upperton scored having hit Richmond on the counter attack then just five minutes later the same player headed home from close range . Richmond Captain Lewis Cocks was in the right place to clear off his line with the home side now in control and they were to go close to adding to the scorline further. Upperton this time firing across goal and wide.

Dan Caisley, back in Richmond colours, had a shot comfortably dealt with by the keeper before Muir and Joe Martin combined.

The keeper again making a good save. Farringdon scored twice more on eighty one and eighty four minutes through Chris Bell and Harry Knowles.

Much improvement will be required from Richmond this Saturday when the two sides meet again, this time at the Dave Clark Arena in The Alan Hood Charity Cup.

Kick off is at 2.30pm.
