Richmond Town Reserves came from behind to beat local rivals Richmond Mavericks to ensure they kept pace with the leaders of the Scotts4Storage Wensleydale League on Saturday.
James Kelly netted for Mavs but first-half strikes from Nathan Simpson and Ross Gladman secured the three points for Town.
Mavs had chances to level after the break but failed to take them.
Unicorn maintained their challenge with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Spennithorne.
Catterick Garrison also enjoyed a 5-3 win over Carperby, despite the Wensleydale visitors racing into a 3-0 lead.
Carperby’s first goal came after good work from Scott Alderson who sent Scott Lambert down the line and he squared well to his brother Sam who had time to control and finish past the keeper.
The second game when Paul Stephenson’s in swinging corner was over the line before others made sure from close range. The third came Scott Lambert again got space down the left and his excellent drilled cross was finished by Tim Weatherill at the far post.
The home side kept going though and looked a constant threat when committing numbers forward and looked in the game.
Luke McCormack started the fightback, with Tim Holland and Liam Walker also netting before the break.
The second half started similar to how the first had been played with Catterick committing numbers forward and Carperby getting space when they turned over possession, but their passing was unusually sloppy and it was clear they were missing several key players
Luke McCormack got both Catterick’s goals to take the three points and complete his hat-trick.
In the remaining game, Hawes enjoyed a comfortable 5-1 win away at Reeth.
Jordan Iveson netted a brace, while Luke Wilkinson, Macaulay Acton and Brett Calvert also scored.
