Richmond woman to lose long hair for charity

A Richmond woman is to have her long hair shaved off to help children who have lost theirs.

Nicole Garbutt, 23, will have her head shaved for the Little Princess Trust.

The charity provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people up to the age of 24, who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions.

She said: “I’ve decided to cut my lovely long hair off and donate it to little Princess Trust to make a wig for someone who’s probably having a tough and difficult time.

“This could make things just that little bit easier for them.”

The head shave will take place at the Town Hall Hotel in Richmond on May 18 at 9pm.

Nicole is also raising money for the charity with an online donations page and will be collecting donations on the night.

  1. This lovely hair looks long enough to be cut short without being drastically shaved. What a wonderful, selfless thing to do!
