Richmondshire council offices reopen

Two of Richmondshire District Council’s area offices have reopened to the public.

The Hawes office opened on Tuesday – the first time since the pandemic lockdown.

It is open Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm.

Customers can call in without appointments.

The Reeth office in Hudson House reopened on Friday.

It will only be open on Fridays from 10am until 3.30pm, closed for lunch 12.30pm to 1pm.

It is an appointment only system – customers should call 01748 829100 to book, but are still encouraged to conduct all business online or by phone where possible.

Mercury House in Richmond continues to be open weekdays and conduct an appointment only service.

Visitors at all offices are required to do the following:

  • sanitise their hands as they enter reception
  • wear a face mask – which will be provided if needed
  • follow strict social distancing rules and a one way system
  • be guided straight into a selected interview room in most cases

The reception area and interview rooms are protected via screening for the safety of visitors and staff.

The council offices in Colburn and Leyburn remain closed.
