Richmondshire Cricket Club to stage May bank holiday family fun weekend

The event will be held at Richmondshire Cricket Club.

Richmondshire Cricket Club (RCC) is going all out to ensure the May bank holiday weekend is one to remember.

The club has entered into a partnership with events company Totem Tipi to stage a community ‘ALL OUT! Weekend’ from May 25 to 28.

Held at the Club’s Hurgill Road ground, over the four days of the event there will be live music, BBQ, yoga, fancy dress competition, community stalls and activities, games, art workshops and, of course, cricket.

Some of the events/activities, including a bar, will be held in two giant tipis which are being provided by Totem Tipi, which is a social enterprise established by Connecting Youth Culture (CYC).

All income generated by the event will go back into supporting Richmondshire Cricket Club and Connecting Youth Culture’s Youth Arts projects for vulnerable young people in North Yorkshire.

Jim While, from Richmondshire Cricket Club, said: “It promises to be a unique, fun and exciting bank holiday weekend for the whole family so hopefully the weather will be kind and we will have lots of people visiting the Club over the four days of the event.

“Whether it’s yoga, fancy dress, eating, drinking or watching the first team in action, there will be something for everyone.”
