Richmondshire Cricket Club starts new season with friendlies and annual Darts Open

The start of the cricket season often seems to be the signal for rain, gales or even snow but this weekend looks like being the exception.

With pre-season friendlies for Richmondshire Cricket Club this weekend, groundsman Geoff Thorpe has been glad of a dry week to be able to prepare the pitch, which is looking immaculate.

With a warm sunny weekend forecast hopes are high for a good weekends cricket.
