Richmondshire fire crews called to vehicle fires

Firefighters from Richmondshire were called out to three vehicle fires today.

Thsi morning at about 10.30am the Richmond crew and an appliance from Durham Fire Service extinguished a motorhome on fire in Low Lane, nesham

The cause of the fire was believed to be electrical.

Crews used three hose reel jets.

Then at 12.13pm the Richmond crew was called to a fire involving a tractor unit.

Thhe fire was out on arrival and involved the soundproofing material.

The cause of fire is believed to be accidental.

 

Reeth and Richmond crew then attended a fire involving an excavator in a wooded area at Marske at around 1pm

The excavator was badly damaged in the blaze.

Crews used a dry powder extinguisher to put the fire out.

The cause of the fire is believed to have been an electrical fault.
