Richmondshire’s firefighters trained together in Leyburn’s former police station last night.
Crews from Leyburn, Richmond and Hawes took part in the exercise.
The disused station was filled with smoke with firefighters attending told there was people trapped inside.
Crews then entered the building to practice their search and rescue techniques.
Eight firefighters wore breathing apparatus to search the building.
Outside, incident command was put in place to ensure a thorough and successful search of the property was carried out.
