Young people living in Richmondshire have the chance of winning £50 by entering a Civic Awareness Competition run by the Richmond and District Civic Society.
To enter take a photo of something that tells them about the history or the buildings where they live.
It can be an old or a more modern building, a street view, a farm or military building, or an object, just about anything that makes them pleased to live where they do.
The photo on a mobile phone and a short description can be entered by primary and secondary school students in three different age categories, under 11, 11 to 14 and 15 to 18, by email to richmondcivicsociety@gmail.com
The competition will be judged by the Richmond and District Civic Society after the deadline on September 30.
The winners in the three categories will each receive £50.
