Richmondshire Cricket Club will host a live outdoor festival during the May Bank Holiday – headlined by Dan Donnelly of The Levellers.

As well as Dan Donnelly, also performing will be local singer Hayley McKay and Richmond band Ceiling Demons.

Dan Donnelly’s acoustic set will top the show, which also features Zarahruth and Rosey PM.

Promoter Niall Hickman said: “Richmondshire Rocks will be a return to the live outdoor music scene for the town which has been missing for many years.

“We have got great bands performing and the setting at the cricket club is second to none. Dan Donnelly lives locally and I know how much he is licking his lips at the thought of playing here.

“Richmond Live has been sorely missed.  It was a fantastic festival which the town looked forward to every year.  Hopefully we can grow into something like that.  This year will be small baby steps, but the aim is to build it up into something much bigger.  And for that we need the support of the town. So please get your tickets as quickly as you can and enjoy what will be a fantastic occasion with live outdoor music back.”

All proceeds will go towards the cricket club’s youth section, with multiple teams representing the town during the season. In the event of poor weather, the bands have agreed to perform inside the clubhouse.

There will be limited numbers allowed in for Richmondshire Rocks! so please buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

The event will be held outside on the cricket pitch on Sunday, May 24, with tickets costing only £15, through www.wegottickets.com.

Under 14s are free and it will take place between 3pm and 9pm.
