Richmondshire RUFC plans family day to coincide with double-header

Richmondshire RUFC are aiming to end on a high after a challenging season with a home double-header and family day on April 13.

The Veterans XV start the day against Northallerton 2nd XV kicking off at 2pm.

The 1st XV kick off against Knaresborough at 3pm in the Papa John’s Community Cup.

Aside from the rugby, there is a face-painter, barbeque, and live music from Tom Thorne.

Club chairman, Nick Hunter said: “We want to get as many former players, their partners and families to the club and highlight the strength and sense of community the club holds.

“It’s been a tough season going into the Yorkshire 4 League, but playing numbers have remained strong and training sessions are always enjoyable and well attended.

“Performances are improving, so credit to the coaches and players. By finishing on a high we aim to carry momentum into the next season.”
