
A Richmondshire scout has been selected to represent the area at the King’s coronation.
Cameron Sykes was selected to represent Richmondshire Scouts at the event on Saturday.
The 23-year-old said he was honoured to have been chosen.
Cameron began his scouting journey as a beaver with 1st Catterick Garrison and worked his way through to becoming a scout and explorer leader.
Lindsay Sykes, the district commissioner of Richmondshire, said “As the DC of Richmondshire District I’m incredibly proud that Cameron was selected and as his mother, I really couldn’t be prouder.
“Cameron has loved every minute he’s spent in scouting and I’m glad he’ll have the coronation to remember forever”
