Richmondshire web company builds website for Surrey council

Richmondshire web design agency Purple Creative Studio have launched a new website for a council based in east Surrey.

Tandridge District Council, located in Oxted, just south of the M25 motorway needed a new 300+plus page web platform, rich with information for a large residential and commercial community of over 83,000 people.

Purple Creative Studio were invited to tender for the work and were successful in winning the project in March.

Within a three-month period, Purple Creative created a brand-new design for desktop, tablet and mobile devices, assisted in devising a complete new page structure and set out most of the 300 pages of web content.

In addition, Purple developed some bespoke functionality for the website so that Tandridge District Council can manage various features as well as the ongoing maintenance of the content.

Before the website was launched it underwent user testing with a series of tasks to measure how quickly people found a specific item of information and recording the journey so that the navigation can be reviewed.

Head of communications Giuseppina Valenza commented: “Purple Creative Studio have been a dream to work with and from the outset nothing was too much trouble.

“They have been completely proactive in helping to drive the project and worked really hard to deliver this within the challenging and tight timescales we set – an amazing feat.

“We are delighted with the end result and now have a website which meets our users’ demands and makes the best use of modern technology.”

Purple client services director Sarah Comerford said: “This is a project that we are incredibly proud of.

“A number of the team have gone down to meetings in Surrey and we are pleased that we won a project of this size through a very rigorous tender process.”
