Ripon St Cecilia Orchestra will present their Christmas Spectacular at the Garden Rooms at Tennants in Leyburn later this month.

Ros Clayton, from St Cecilia, said: “Everyone is welcome to attend; it will be great fun for all ages.

“Come and hear old and new seasonal favourites, plus some welcome surprises.

“So do come and join in the fun at the North’s premier Christmas concert. Bring the oldest and youngest members of the family along with everyone else in between.

“Don’t miss this wonderful occasion hosted by the North’s premier non professional orchestra.”

The Jane Seymour School of Dance, Leyburn Ladies’ Choir, Wensleydale School Choir plus treble soloist Tom Hughes will perform with the orchestra.

The spectacular will be compered by Jim Wight, son of Alf Wight, better known to all as James Herriot.

James Tennant will present an auction of promises and raffle in aid of St Cecilia Orchestra funds with a donation to Herriot Hospice.

Tickets £18 (up to 18s free) from The Garden Rooms at Tennants, Little Ripon Bookshop, Herriot Hospice, Milner’s of Leyburn and on line at www.st-cecilia.org.uk
