Risedale College features in Parliamentary Review

Risedale Sports and Community College has been featured in the Parliamentary Review, a magazine circulated to 500,000 decision makers and business leaders across the country

The publication, which was launched by former government minister David Curry, looks at responses to the economic and political challenges of the day.

The latest edition has just been released and features the Catterick Garrison school, as well as selected others around the country.

In the article, the school leader’s explain that students at the college come from a variety
of backgrounds which has shaped a “diverse, nurturing, and broad learning environment”.

On Monday principal Colin Scott and director of facilities Gill Morrissey travelled to London to represent Risedale at the launch of the edition which celebrated the success of all the schools who were selected among thousands nationally to participate in the 2017/2018 review.

After meeting former ministers Ed Balls and George Osborne, the pair were able to discuss future
challenges and aspirations to take the school further.

Mr Scott said: “We are delighted to be involved in this year’s Parliamentary Review and we hope our story is read widely.”

 

Each year the release of the Parliamentary Review is marked with a reception at the Palace of
Westminster for all the best practice representatives who participated in the publication.
