  1. Yet another serious accident involving a motorcycle . The facts aren’t known yet but it is nearly always excessive speed and overestimation of ability that are the reasons . Summers in our locality are blighted by these ridiculously noisy and dangerous machines .

    • agreed, but in this instance the gentleman in question had been riding for over thirty years. he hit a pot hole in the road and was thrown off the motorbike, collided with a tree and was then thrown into a wall.
no excessive speed, no racing, no mad riding just terrible road conditions

    • i’d just like to make you aware, this biker is my father. he was not “excessively speeding” (he was not speeding at all) and his driving abilities are almost perfect (no one’s 100% perfect) as he has more than 30 years of motorbike driving under his belt. he is now in hospital where he is expected to stay for the next 4 month at least. i am not going to share the extent of his injuries on this website however he is suffering with life changing and life threatening injuries because of a simple error.
i am not hating on you or your comment but i recommend you think through what you’re saying on the internet from now on as this is MY father, and i wouldn’t wish his injuries on my worst enemy.
