Route confirmed for Father Christmas’ visit to Richmond

The route has been confirmed for Father Christmas’ visit to Richmond tomorrow.

Richmondshire Rugby Club is this year running the Father Christmas float around the town.

The float will work its way across Richmond on Saturday, December 23, starting at around 4pm in the Reeth Road area working its away around the town to finish down St Nicolas Drive at around 8.30pm.


  • The float will be starting at Round How, before going on to Coronation Place, Whitcliffe Place, Whitcliffe Grange, Convent Close, Reeth Road, Hurgill Road, Quakers Lane, Prior Ave, Bolton Ave, Quakers Lane, Potter Gate, Gallowgate, Alexander Way, Olav Road, Gallowgate, Gower Road, High Riding, Norman Rd, Stuart Ave, Norman Rd, Windsor Ave, Conan Drive, Conan Ave, Conan Gardens, Pikepurse Lane, I’anson Road, Gallowgate, Gilling Road, Fontenay Road, Gordon Crest, Neville Walk, Fontenay Road, Gilling Road, Earl Edwin Drive, Gilling Rd, Laburnum Grove, Willow Crest, Stanley Grove, Gilling Road, Oliver Road, Cross Lanes, Ronaldshay Drive, Zealand Drive, Aske Ave, Whitefields Drive, Darlington Rd, and finishing on St Nicolas Drive.


The float is normally organised by Richmond Round Table, but Richmondshire Rugby Club is taking on the visit this year.

The float will not be accepting donations this year.
