Saint Francis Xavier School will stage Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical JR later this month.
Based on the book Matilda and adapted from the award-winning full length musical, the production tells the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.
The cast, led by 14-year-old Lili Bako as Matilda, features over 50 pupils.
Miss Smith, head of drama, said: “Rehearsing this show has been a brilliant experience.
“The pupils have tackled the musical with such energy and I am proud of their dedication and enthusiasm.”
Saint Francis Xavier School presents Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR at the school on June 21 to 23 at 7pm.
