Through its ECO Flex Energy Improvement Scheme, qualifying residents can improve the energy efficiency of their homes and reduce fuel bills.
The scheme is focused on helping householders in the Richmondshire district who have high energy bills in relation to their income.
Residents can qualify for funding through a range of criteria, which includes receiving means tested benefits or being on a low household income with high energy bills.
In addition, elderly residents, those with a young family, pregnant women or residents with a health condition made worse by the cold, could also qualify for funding.
The scheme is managed by Community Interest Company YES Energy Solutions on behalf of Richmondshire District Council. YES Energy Solutions are accessing The Government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme to provide additional funds to certain residents.
Installations will be completed through YES Energy Solutions’ network of accredited local contractors.
The scheme is on a first come first served basis and residents who think that they may qualify for the scheme are advised to call YES Energy Solutions on 01422 880100.
Funding for the ECO Flex Energy Improvement Scheme originated from a mix of capital, with Richmondshire District Council supplying a £52,000 grant and YES Energy Solutions securing ECO funding from major energy companies through the Government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Scheme.
In the last financial year YES Energy Solutions transformed the energy efficiency of over 5,000 homes, cutting CO2 emissions by over 85,000 tonnes and customer fuel bills by £58,000,000 over the lifetime of the improvements installed. For more information visit: www.yesenergysolutions.co.uk
