Pupils at the BAWB Federation of schools have created two large displays at St Andrew’s Church, Aysgarth, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
These are part of the flower festival at the church which depicts the seven decades of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
The floral displays depict the Queen’s wedding and Coronation, her holidays at Sandringham and Balmoral and being with her own family, to historical events such as the Ascent of Everest in 1969, the Miners’ Strike 1984-85, decimalisation, and the Summer Olympics in 2012.
The festival continues until Monday, June 6 with the church being open from 9am to 6pm.
Admission to the festival is free but donations are welcome.
