A Richmond school has handed out care packages to keyworkers.

The packages were delivered by staff at Trinity Academy Richmond to frontline workers in recognition of their support to the local community.

School leaders say the children and staff have been working hard to support their families and the wider community during the latest lockdown.

Last week, staff and students were invited to send pictures to be shared on school’s Facebook page of how they enjoyed the snowy conditions.

Letters of thanks, cards and pictures have also been sent out during the pandemic to critical workers, frontline staff and residents in local care homes.

Head of school Ben Gatrill said: “These acts of care and support are testament to the fantastic work our school is doing to support our families and the wider community.”
