A Scotch Corner salon is expanding to offer beauty services.

21 years since Sue Dickinson opened her first Saks beauty franchise at Scotch Corner, she has taken the plunge again and is launching Saks Beauty with her long-time colleague, friend and owner or Saks Hair at Sedbury, Anna Clinton.

Sue has many years’ experience of working as a beauty therapist and also qualified as a hairdresser two years ago.

She ran Saks Beauty at Scotch Corner for 13 years before deciding to step back from the business to raise her children.

Sue and Anna have worked together for over 20 years and look forward to embarking on this next business venture together.

Sue said: “I’ve been offering nail services and facials within the hair salon at Saks Sedbury for the last year or so but when some additional space became available in the same building, Anna and I thought it was the perfect time to expand.”

Anna and Sue have also appointed Emma Jones, a beauty therapist from Darlington.

Emma Kearney, who has completed her level 2 and 3 hairdressing, is working towards level 2 beauty, so she will be working as a hairdresser and offering nail services in the salon.

Saks at Sedbury Stables will offer a wide range of treatments including CACI non-surgical face lifts, eyebrow shaping and tinting, waxing, facials, manicures, pedicures, make-up, hot stones and reflexology.

Anna said: “We’re very excited to be opening up the beauty salon at Sedbury Stables.

“The beauty services we’ve offered up until now have proved hugely popular and it quickly became clear that our clients would love to have more treatments to choose from.”
