Shop staff help out at Tuesday Club at The Old School House in Leyburn

Staff from the Co-op store in Leyburn have taken time out to help at a regular event at The Old School House (TOSH) in Leyburn.

Workers from the Co-op in Leyburn helped volunteers run the Tuesday Club at TOSH on Shrove Tuesday.

Emma Graves, Co-op community pioneer, said: “We organised a game of play your cards right and they had a right laugh.

“We supplied the prizes and also provided pancakes as it was Pancake Day. Everyone had a great day.”

The Tuesday Club aims to provide a place for local people to meet and talk.

The club meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month.

If you need transport volunteers will collect you from home, or a convenient stop off point and bring you to TOSH for 2pm.

After a light meal they will take you back home around 5pm.
