Sir Gary Verity to give Tour de Yorkshire talk

Welcome to Yorkshire chief executive Sir Gary Verity will give a talk on this year’s Tour de Yorkshire later this month.

The event is being hosted by the Richmond and District Civic Society and Original Richmond, Richmond Business and Tourism Association (RBTA).

The Tour de Yorkshire takes place on May 3 to 6

The cyclists will set off from Richmond on stage three, riding through the market towns of Bedale, Northallerton, Thirsk and Helmsley and then on to the finish, by the sea in Scarborough.

To tie in with his talk about the race through our towns, Sir Gary will also be looking at the importance of tourism to historic market towns, like Richmond.

Sir Gary will be speaking at the Influence Church, Victoria Road, Richmond Monday 19th February at 7.30pm.

Tickets £5, available on the door with free admission for Richmond and District Civic Society and Original Richmond, Richmond Business and Tourism Association members. Surplus funds will be donated to the RBTA to promote Richmond.
