Two sisters are celebrating after winning the president’s trophy at Scorton Feast.
Ruby Ford, 11, and six-year-old sister Nancy won numerous rosettes for gymkhana games such as the sack race, potato race and the bendy race on their 25-year-old pony Chocolate Bean.
Mum Sam said: “This was Nancy’s first year taking part in the lead rein show jumping competition. Ruby led Nancy to victory by running her socks off and winning. Nancy was awarded the rose bowl trophy.
“The girls had such a great day, it was well organised and really friendly event.
“At the prize giving at the end of the day the sisters were then awarded The Scorton Feast President’s Trophy for sharing their pony and working together as a team.
“It’s safe to say this was the highlight of their day — they were so proud of themselves and their amazing pony Chocolate.
The following day the children entered a range of arts and craft classes in the flower show, entries such as a decorated crown, castle made from recycled materials and handwriting to name a few.
Nancy went on to win The Rawling Trophy for the most points awarded in the children’s section.
The girls spent their winnings on the fair later that evening.
