Plans for six new industrial units on Colburn Business Park will be discussed next week.
An application for the units has been submitted to Richmondshire District Council and will be looked at when the planning committee meets on Tuesday.
The units would provide approximately 2,648m square of space in total.
This story continues after the adverts:
Unit 1, the biggest unit, would be for storage and warehousing, while the other five units would have a mix of light industrial and storage and warehousing uses.
Richmondshire District Council planning officers are recommending the application is approved, subject to certain conditions.
These include there being no retail sales or manufacturing from the site.
Colburn Town Council (CTC) has launched a campaign to prevent houses being built on the opposite side of the business park to this proposal.
The move came after a consultation was launched by Linden Homes which wants to build 92 houses on the park on Chartermark Way.
