A six-year-old Richmond boy has decided to tidy up his neighbourhood.
Emerson Woodhead, who attends Richmond Methodist Primary School, was inspired to start picking litter after hearing about the school’s ethos of ‘doing all the good we can’
Dad Scott said this played on his mind when he saw the rubbish during his walk to school.
He got his mum to bring his grabber and then walked home collecting litter.
Emmerson said: “The rubbish was all over the place where creatures might get trapped and hurt and I wanted to tidy it away for them.”
Headteacher Sharon Stevenson said: “Well done Emmerson and Ely for doing all the good that you can and keeping out community looking nice.”
