Rescue volunteers came to the aid of a sledger who hit a rock in Wensleydale yesterday.
Members of Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team were called out to the incident above Askrigg.
A spokesperson for the team said: “We were called out to a well-equipped group making the most of the snow who had managed to collide with a hidden rock while sledging.”
An ambulance was also called to the scene.
Earlier in the day, the team chelped an injured walker following a slip on an icy path on East Witton Fell.
They then went straight on to Wensley to rescue another injured walker following a slip on an icy path.
Paramedics also attended these incidents.

I’ve looked at the photo, I was there, I’m pretty sure this was Westfield Richmond, unless I walked the dog about 10 miles further than I thought!!
