Slimmers donate unwanted Christmas goodies to charity

Slimmers have passed on their unwanted Christmas goodies to a local charity.

Members of local Weight Watchers groups have handed over the treats to Catterick Garrison veterans centre The Beacon.

Group leader Beki Bulmer said: “It gives me great pleasure to support the Beacon, a charity that supports homeless ex-servicemen and women.

This story continues after the adverts:

“My members are keen to get back on track with their weight loss journey after Christmas and being able to give their excess chocolates, biscuits, snacks etc to a charity where they will be appreciated is a great pleasure.”

Mother-of-four Beki, who runs six meetings in the Catterick and Richmond area, said she was keen to support charities that support service personnel as her husband has served in the Army for more than 30 years and is based in Catterick.
