Spennithorne & Harmby Junior Football Club Under 8s team ended the season on a high by winning the end of season cup competition at Catterick Village last Sunday.
Being last season’s losing cup finalists, Spennithorne gained a measure of revenge by beating Catterick Village in the final 2-1.
Having fought their way through the group stage, Spennithorne took the lead in the final through Matthew Hall, only for Catterick Village to equalise.

In the second half Spennithorne pushed for the winner and were rewarded for their efforts with a great winning goal by Jamie Dent.
The club plays in the Hambleton & Richmondshire Junior Football League and offers football for boys and girls of all abilities aged 5 to 10 years.
The club is encouraging new players to join them for the 2017/18 season.
