Spot on the Wall exhibition launches at The Station

Richmond’s largest showcase of artists launches at The Station this weekend.

The Station is gearing up for its biggest exhibition of the year this week as final preparations for A Spot on the Wall take place.

This year’s Spot sees more than 50 amateur and professional artists, photographers and sculptors come together to fill the walls and cabinets of the old station building with an extensive collection of works – all of which are for sale”

Gallery co-ordinator Thea Treweek says, “This exhibition is so special as it brings together such a huge range of talented artists.

“Whether this is their first exhibition or they have been exhibiting for years, as a profession or a hobby, they sit side by side on the walls of our beautiful building.

As well as this, as a piece of art is sold from the artist’s spot, they replace it with another. This is great for the artist, as there are virtually unlimited opportunities for sales, but it is also great for visitors, as the exhibition looks different every time.”

See A Spot on the Wall from January 19 to February 20 at The Station, Richmond.

The Station is open seven days a week,  9am – late.
