Stall raises £900 for charity tackling suicide among young people

A stall in Richmond Market Place yesterday raised more than £900 for charity.

The stall was run by Richmondshire Safety Hub, Foundation Housing and the Richmond Neighbourhood Policing Team to raise money for Papyrus UK, which works to prevent suicide among young people.

There was a tombola, cake sale and a raffle

The main prizes were won by Nicky R and Steve Rodgers.

Police also used the opportunity to give some seasonal crime prevention advice.
