Market stall traders are being invited to apply for pitches at this year’s Richmond Christmas Fair.
The festive event, organised by Original Richmond Business and Tourism Association, will take place on Sunday, November 29 and follows what organisers described as a highly successful fair last year.
The event is expected to feature a wide range of market stalls alongside children’s entertainment, Santa’s Grotto, a Santa Fun Run and live musical performances.
Expressions of interest are now being sought from traders wishing to take part, with applications closing on Friday, May 29.
Organisers say full details and application forms are available online.
The Christmas Fair is one of several new initiatives planned in Richmond this year by the business group.
This month will also see the launch of a new series of Twilight Markets in Richmond Market Place, aimed at boosting the town’s early evening economy.
The markets will take place on the last Saturday of each month from May through to November between 5pm and 9pm.
They will feature craft stalls, food and drink vendors and street entertainment.
Traders interested in securing a stall at the first Twilight Market on Saturday, May 30, or at future events, are being asked to contact Wendy Robinson via enquiries@grannyskitchenrichmond.co.uk.
Organisers have said traders for both the Christmas Fair and Twilight Markets must provide their own commercial-grade gazebos with appropriate weights, along with public liability insurance.
