The Station has announced the opening of its temporary café in space previously used by the Seasons restaurant.
After four weeks of the pop-up picnic at The Station, there will be a café opening from this Wednesday.
Under the management of Gareth Bottomley, former executive chef at The CB Inn, in Arkengarthdale, the temporary café will serve sweet and savoury snacks as well as hot and cold drinks.
The long term plan for is to then renovate the kitchen and front of house space in order to relaunch the restaurant, with Gareth in charge, later in the year.
The venue is asking for visitors to tell them what they would like from the restaurant space, so have placed a consultation box and forms on the platform.
The cafe will be operational from Wednesday, May 30 and will be open from 9am to 5pm everyday.
Visitors to The Station over the Bank Holiday weekend can still enjoy their picnics or food from their artisan food producers in the pop-up picnic area.
