Station Cinema celebrates birthday with discounted tickets

The Station Cinema.

The Station Cinema celebrates its 16th birthday this weekend and is celebrating with discounted tickets.

All cinema tickets are £4.50 this Saturday to mark the anniversary.

Opening back in November 2007 as a key part of the redevelopment of the former Victorian railway station, it has welcomed hundreds of thousands of audiences over 16 years from Richmond and beyond to enjoy a range of cinematic hits on the silver screen.

Films showing on Saturday will include blockbuster releases such as The Marvels, the latest release in the Marvel Cinematic Universe starring Brie Larson, family animated entertainment with Trolls Band Together, and Nicolas Cage’s latest film, Dream Scenario.

Other titles will include Michael Caine’s final film, The Great Escaper, and a title from the French Film festival, Driving Madeleine.

The Station Cinema is now proudly operated by the Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust, a registered charity with all profits going back into the upkeep and continued restoration of The Station building.
